Seeing this, Pertamina EP Asset 5 Tarakan Field as a state-owned company continues to move to help ease the burden on the community, especially those in the company’s operational area. One of the areas where the company operates is Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan.
On this occasion, Pertamina EP Asset 5 Tarakan Field provided assistance in the form of 20 food packages to the poor and elderly in Nunukan Regency. Saturday (5/16/20). This activity was also supported by the ranks of the TNI Dandim 0911 Nunukan, the Nunukan District Police, the Tunon Taka Mountain Cycling (TMB) Community, and the Nunukan Cucling Community (NCC).
In addition, Tarakan Field also provides assistance to villages located in isolated areas, one of which is the Village of Tepian which is also still within the area of company operations.
Tepian Village is located in Sembakung Subdistrict, Nunukan Regency, an area that is included in 3T (Infected, Disadvantaged and Leading). Because of its remote location and difficult to access, the edge of the village can only be reached by using water transportation which takes 1.5 hours drive from the city of Tarakan to arrive in the village of Tepian.
The majority of the livelihoods of Tepian Village people are fishermen, they rely on income from their daily work as fish and shrimp hunters, but due to the implementation of PSBB, fishermen cannot sell their catches to the market because there is no operating transportation so it has an impact on the community’s economy. As a village in the company’s ring 1 area, it has become an obligation for Pertamina EP Asset 5 Tarakan Field to help ease the burden on the Tepian Village community amid Pandemic Covid-19.
Assistance provided to the Government of the Village of Tepian in the form of 200 kg of sugar, 130 liters of diesel fuel, 20 hazmat and 20 face shield. Aid was symbolically handed over to the Treasurer of Tepian Arnold Village. Tuesday (05/12/20).

In addition to helping ease the economic burden on the people of Tarakan City and the Village of Tepian, Pertamina EP Tarakan Field also provides assistance to support the acceleration of Covid-19 countermeasures to company stakeholders in the Tarakan City area.
Some agencies are company stakeholders, namely the Office of the Organizing Unit (KUP), Class I Main Airport Juwata and the Office of Port Authority and Port Authority (KSOP) class III Tarakan.
Pertamina EP Asset 5 Tarakan Field has also conducted an honorary visit (Marathon Courtesy Call) to company stakeholders led directly by Field Manager, Agung Wibowo and accompanied by Tarakan Legal and Relations Assistant Manager, Anton Humala Doloksaribu. Tuesday (05/12/20).
This activity is an event of friendship to stakeholders as well as the delivery of assistance to support the acceleration of Covid-19 countermeasures. Assistance was given to each agency in the form of 50 sets of PPE, 20 N-95 masks and 40 cloth masks.
Aid was received directly by the head of the Juwata Class I Utama KUP Airport, Agus Priyanto. On the occasion, Agus Priyanto said that the assistance provided would be used by members of the health service staff at Juwata Trakan Airport.
“We say thank you to Pertamina EP Tarakan Field for providing their assistance. This assistance will be used by our health service staff at the airport, considering that flights at Juwata Airport have started operating again on May 10, 2020, “said Agus Priynto.
